MGM Grand Hotel
Las Vegas, Nevada
Booth #116

LAS VEGASKI healthcare experts and designers will discuss market trends, share insights and showcase new product inspirations at Healthcare Design 2010, space #116. KI will also unveil several new products for the first time at the show, including the Lyra™ Collection, the award-winning Soltíce® II Recliner and Pallas Textiles’ Artisan Collection.
“Healthcare Design is the perfect opportunity to spotlight our most innovative healthcare solutions that are designed to meet the needs of patients, families and staff,” said Shawn Green, vice president of product management, KI. “We’re excited to show attendees first hand how they can create environments that encourage patient healing, support family involvement and increase staff efficiency.”

What’s New?
New product solutions from KI revealed at Healthcare Design 2010 include the Lyra Collection and Soltíce II Recliner.
The Lyra Collection represents a fresh, modern interpretation of a classic design that provides a powerful, yet understated visual language to complement virtually any environment. Lyra’s simple form and elegance are enhanced through the use of mixed materials, allowing for a dynamic visual range that spans formal and informal settings. Lyra is the ideal form for creating visually compelling yet functional spaces that are as impressive as they are welcoming.
Also shown for the first time at Healthcare Design is the Soltíce II Recliner. The Soltíce II Recliner is a seating solution that offers enhanced versatility for healthcare environments, while providing durable construction, intuitive features and elegant design. While accommodating the need for comfort and safety, the Soltíce II Recliner features central-locking casters with 360-degree rotation, allowing caregivers to complete tasks with ease. Its simple, elegant design coordinates with a broad collection of other Soltíce products to create a consistent look throughout a healthcare facility.
At the NeoCon World’s Trade Fair in June, KI’s Soltice II Recliner earned a Best of NeoCon Editor’s Choice award in the Healthcare Seating category.

Pallas® Textiles also brings its latest upholstery collection, Artisan, to Healthcare Design. Artisan features textile solutions inspired by the beauty and sophistication of handcrafting techniques, with a striking hand-painted quality, a meticulously metered geometric, and the richness of hand-woven texture.
Showroom Highlights
In addition to these new product solutions, KI’s showroom also features a series of proven furniture designs for healthcare, education, business and government markets:
    • Dante™ Casegoods Collection—Dante features a clean, transitional aesthetic, making it easy
to adapt to any healthcare environment. As a modern interpretation of a mid-century design,
Dante’s residential look and feel makes it easy to specify. With Dante, specifiers can create a
unified design aesthetic that carries through lobby and waiting areas to patient rooms.
    • LaResta® Day Bed—The LaResta day bed represents an ideal solution to the heightened
demand for guest sleepover accommodations in patient rooms. An attractive sofa by day, the
LaResta day bed comfortably seats four adults. By night, its intuitive design makes conversion
from a sofa to an inviting sleep surface smooth and simple.
    • Soltíce® Collection—KI’s broadest healthcare collection, including a loveseat, lounge sleeper,
recliners and multiple seating, Soltíce makes it easy for interior designers to carry a consistent
visual signature from a hospital’s public space to the patient room environment.
    • Arissa® Collection—KI’s Arissa collection is a family of lobby and lounge seating that
encompasses sophisticated design within a functional form that comfortably accommodates
virtually any body type. The vision of designers Dan Cramer and Paul James was to create a
collection that accommodates the needs of larger users while still looking like a standard lounge
solution. The end result is a collection that relies on a unique seat geometry that can support up
to 750 pounds yet can accommodate a wide range of users, without appearing oversized or
    overly delicate.
    • Genius® Architectural Walls—Revealing a series of aesthetic enhancements, including
concealed sliding door components, streamlined panel-to-panel connections and flush
connectors, Genius walls establish a clean, seamless look in any environment.
